It’s official. Mini’s first year of dance has come to an end. She took two classes this year and it made Thursday’s our favorite day of the week.
In tumbling she learned how to roll like a pencil, walk like a crab, tumble sault, and has been working on her cartwheel.
In her ballet/tap combo class she had a blast learning the basics with all of her friends.
She met so many nice girls and I loved going to have “mom” time while the kids were in their class.
Everyday she asked if it was “Dance day”. On Thursdays she would hurry to change into her dance clothes, pack her dance bag with her shoes and ask me 300 times if I remembered to pack her a snack and drink. She just loved it.
Her dance teacher chose “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” for this years TAP recital dance and it was just the sweetest thing ever. Mini practiced her moves all around the house and I would hear her singing the song as she played with her toys. She was so excited for Grandma to come from Florida to see her big debut! We all looked forward to this day for months.
She did amazing on recital day and I was so proud watching her dance up there on the stage like a big girl. She wasn’t nervous or shy at all. It was a definite proud mama moment for me. Bittersweet as I can’t even believe we are already at the age of dance recitals. Wasn’t she just born??
She is already talking about dance next year and asking me what classes she is going to take! Take a look at all of my favorite pictures from the BIG DAY!
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 1ST RECITAL JULIANA! XO
